Legislative Advocacy – America First Education Standards (AFES)

Fighting for School Choice & Education Freedom

America First Education Standards (AFES) isn’t just an accreditation body—we are leading the fight for education freedom across the nation. Our mission goes beyond certifying schools; we are actively working with state legislators, school choice advocates, and conservative leaders to ensure that AFES accreditation is recognized nationwide.

For too long, radical bureaucrats and teachers’ unions have controlled the education system, silencing parents, and forcing woke curriculum into classrooms. AFES is taking a stand to restore local control, expand school choice, and protect the rights of parents and educators to teach real American values.

Our Legislative Priorities

AFES is committed to shaping education policy at the local, state, and national levels. Our advocacy focuses on:

✅ State Recognition of AFES Accreditation – Working with legislators to ensure AFES-accredited schools are recognized as fully accredited institutions eligible for funding, student transfers, and compliance with education laws.

✅ School Choice Expansion – Advocating for education vouchers, tax credits, and funding programs that allow parents to use public education funds for private and AFES-accredited schools.

✅ Parental Rights in Education – Pushing back against government interference in curriculum decisions and ensuring parents—not bureaucrats—have the final say in their child’s education.

✅ Opposing Radical Curriculum Mandates – Fighting against CRT, gender ideology, and other radical policies that undermine traditional American values and historical truth.

✅ Strengthening Faith-Based Education – Protecting the rights of religious schools to operate without state-imposed restrictions that violate their beliefs and principles.

State-by-State Strategy

AFES is aggressively expanding its recognition across all 50 states. Some states already recognize alternative accreditation bodies, while others require policy changes to break the monopoly of leftist-controlled agencies. Our state-by-state strategy includes:

🔹 Introducing Model Legislation – Partnering with lawmakers to draft and sponsor bills recognizing AFES accreditation as an alternative to federally influenced agencies.

🔹 Building Coalitions – Uniting with conservative policy groups, education leaders, and parental rights organizations to increase lobbying power.

🔹 Engaging Grassroots Activism – Mobilizing parents, educators, and students to demand school choice policies that include AFES-accredited institutions.

🔹 Lobbying Key State Officials – Working with governors, state education boards, and legislators to secure official recognition of AFES standards.

AFES is already in discussions with lawmakers in multiple states to push for official accreditation status. As we continue to gain traction, we will release updates on our progress.
